How to manage customer walk-ins?
If you want to seat a customer who hasn't made prior reservation here is how can you do it on:
1. Select the Walk-ins tab
2. Select free tables on which you would like to seat a customer
3. Click the button "Seat"
4. Specify number of persons
After you clicked the "Seat" button, a dialog "Enter capacity and customer" is opened, on which you have to specify number of persons. Specify number of persons by clicking on one of the predefined buttons, or selecting value from the drop down menu:
5. Assign customer (optional)
Optionally, you can assign customer to this walk-in event. On the opened dialog "Enter capacity and customer" click the button "Assign customer". You will be given a choice to search and select existing customers from the database, or enter a new customer:
a) search existing customers
If you would like to search for existing customers, enter the customer name, email or phone in the text field "Customer:" and click on the button "Search existing". If there are any customers found, you will be given a list from which you can select one:
b) enter a new customer
If you want to enter a new customer, you must specify at least his first name and email:
6. Enter note (optional)
Optionally, you can assign customer to this walk-in event. On the opened dialog "Enter capacity and customer", type a note in the text field "Note"
6. Click the Seat button to create Walk-in event
On the opened dialog "Enter capacity and customer" click the "Seat" button:
If everything went well, a new Walk-in event will be created, which can then be seen and managed on the Walkout tab or on the Timeline.
1. Open the Table management page
Select Tables/Table management from the side menu in order to open Table management page:
2. On the Table management page, select the tab Walk in:
3. Select tables to occupy
On the Walk in tab, mark free table(s) on which you want to seat the customer, and click the button "Seat customer". A Create new walk-in dialog will open in which you will have to enter details about the walk-in visit (number of persons, duration, customer information, note):
4. Select number of persons
On the opened Create new walk-in dialog, select number of persons by:
a) clicking one of the predefined buttons:
b) entering number of persons in the field
5. Specify duration in minutes (optional)
If you want to change default value of a visit duration, you can specify duration yourself by changing the number in appropriate text field, or by using arrows:
6. Assign customer (optional)
Assign customer for the walk in event by:
a) selecting existing customer from the database
b) entering a new customer
Click the "Add new customer" button, and enter customer mandatory fields: first name, and email or phone information.
7. Enter note (optional)
Optionally, you can enter a note about this walk in event:
8. Click Create button to create walk in event
Finally, on the opened Create new walk-in dialog, click the Create button to create walk in event:
Alternatively, you can click the "Close" button and close the Create new walk-in dialog without creating an event.
9. Check created event on the Walkout tab
Go to the Walkout tab on the Table management page and check if the created event is listed:
