SeatOn Web - Aggregated revenue

Aggregated revenue report gives thorough analysis of customer spending habits by analyzing revenues within distinctive working hours or days of week.

It is accessible by selecting the Reports/Aggregated revenue from the side menu. The screen is divided in two sections as shown on the picture below:

  1. Report parameters
  2. Report data

1. Report parameters

This section gives user a possibility to change aggregated revenue report criteria by clicking the appropriate criteria button. There are three criteria which can be chosen independently, as shown on the picture below:

  • Report type
    • Time of day  -  aggregated spend report by working hour (i.e. time of day)
    • Days of week  -  aggregated spend report by day of week
  • Time Period
    • Last 3 months  -  aggregated spend in the last 3 calendar months
    • Last 12 months  -  aggregated spend in the last 12 calendar months
  • Customer type
    • All customers  -  aggregated spend regardless of customer type (i.e. all customers)
    • Only regulars  -  aggregated spend only for registered customers
    • Only non regulars  -  aggregated spend only for unregistered customers

So, for the picture above, the application would show aggregated spend report by day of week, aggregating all visits which happened in the last 12 months, regardless of the customer type.

2. Report data

This section gives report data in a form of histogram and data table. Data content depends of the report type, which is selectable in the Report parameters section. There are two main report types:

2.1. Aggregated revenue by time of day

Aggregated spend report by working hour is presented on histogram with time of day on the horizontal axis, and revenue on the vertical axis. Every working hour is presented as a separate bar on the histogram.

Furthermore, every bar shows revenue contribution for every visiting type (Reservation, Walk-in Seated, Walk-in Waitlisted) in different color. By positioning the mouse cursor over a specific bar, you can get revenue amounts for every visiting type.

Below the histogram, a table with even more spending details is shown with the following rows:

  • Revenue - total revenue, average revenue per visit, average revenue per cover
  • Tips - total tips, average tip per visit and percentage of tip in relation to the total bill amount
  • Number of visits - total number of visits, total sum of covers, average covers per visit
  • No show visits - percentage of no show events in relation to visit type, total number of no-show events, total sum of covers, total estimated loss due to no-show event. Please note that for the Walk-in Seated event type, no-show information is not applicable, and thus for this column this field is always empty.

Values in the rows are divided and calculated depending on three hour groups (i.e meal types), and shown in respective columns:

  • Breakfast - events starting from 7 AM - 11 AM
  • Lunch - events starting from 11 AM - 5 PM
  • Dinner - events starting from 5 PM - 11 PM

2.2. Aggregated revenue by day of week

Aggregated spend report by day of week is presented on histogram with day of week on the horizontal axis, and revenue on the vertical axis. Each day of week is presented as a separate bar on the histogram.

Furthermore, every bar shows revenue contribution for every visiting type (Reservation, Walk-in Seated, Walk-in Waitlisted) in different color. By positioning the mouse cursor over a specific bar, you can get revenue amounts for every visiting type.

Below the histogram, a table with even more spending details is shown with days of week as rows, and the following columns:

  • Revenue - total revenue, percentage of revenue for this day of week in comparison to total revenue, average revenue per visit, average revenue per cover and comparison to other days of week
  • Tips - total tips, percentage of tips for this day of week in comparison to total tips, average tip per visit and percentage of tip in relation to the total bill amount, average tip per cover
  • Visits - total number of visits, total sum of covers, average covers per visit, comparison to other employees
  • No show - percentage of no show events in relation to visit type, total number of no-show events, total sum of covers on no-show events, total estimated loss due to no-show events.
  • Reservation ratio - share of Reservation visit types in total number of visits on this day of week
