SeatOn Web - Occupancy report
Occupancy report gives insight to usage of your restaurant resources (i.e. tables) in different times of day or days of week.
It is divided in four sections as shown on the picture below:
- Occupancy report by day of week
- Simulation for selected week
- Occupancy report by hour of day
- Simulation for selected day
1. Occupancy report by day of week
This subreport shows a histogram with day of week on the horizontal axis, seat occupancy rate on the left vertical axis, and average revenue per cover on the right vertical axis. Every day in a week is presented as a separate bar on the histogram. Occupancy rate is displayed as percentage, and calculated as usage of available restaurant resources during working hours (i.e. occupied seats at certain time divided by total number of available seats).
Column next to the histogram lists following calculated values for the selected week:
- Occupancy rate
- Total occupancy rate
- Total number of visits
- Total number of covers
- Revenue
- Total revenue
- Average revenue per cover
- Tips
- Total tips
- Average tip and percentage of tip in relation to the total bill amount
- No Show
- Percentage of no show events
- Total number of no show events
- Sum of all covers for no show events
- Estimated revenue loss for no show events
In addition, a table below the histogram shows occupancy rates depending on three hour groups (i.e meal types):
- Breakfast - events starting from 7 AM - 11 AM
- Lunch - events starting from 11 AM - 5 PM
- Dinner - events starting from 5 PM - 11 PM
Following rows are displayed in the table, by meal type:
- Occupancy rate
- Total occupancy rate
- Revenue
- Total revenue
- Average revenue per cover
- Average tip amount per cover
2. Simulation for selected week
This section allows you to make revenue simulation for the selected week by changing input parameters:
- Occupancy rate
- Average revenue per cover
- No show rate
Using the simulation, you can check what-if scenarios, and analyze how the revenue would change depending on changes of the given parameters.
Simulation calculates following values automatically upon changing the sliders, and displays them below the label "Simulated results":
- Revenue
- Total revenue
- Comparison to average revenue for the selected week
- Tips
- Total tips
- Comparison to average tips for the selected week
- Loss due to no-show
- Estimated loss due to no-show events
- Comparison to average loss for the selected week
By clicking on the button "Set actuals" you can set parameters to the original values of the selected week.
3. Occupancy report by hour of day
This subreport shows a histogram with time of day on the horizontal axis. On the vertical axis two different occupancy rates are shown: seat occupancy rate (as green vertical bars on the graph) and table occupancy rate (as red line on the graph).
Seat occupancy rate is displayed as percentage, and calculated as usage of available restaurant resources during working hours (i.e. occupied seats at certain time divided by total number of available seats).
Table occupancy rate is displayed as percentage, and calculated as usage of available restaurant tables during working hours (i.e. occupied tables at certain time divided by total number of available tables, regardless of number of occupied seats on the table).
In addition, below the histogram, a table is shown with following columns and values for the selected hour of day:
- Occupancy rate
- Total occupancy rate
- Total number of visits
- Total number of covers
- Revenue
- Total revenue
- Average revenue per cover
- Tips
- Total tips
- Average tip and percentage of tip in relation to the total bill amount
- No Show
- Percentage of no show events
- Total number of no show events
- Sum of all covers for no show events
- Estimated revenue loss for no show events
4. Simulation for selected day
This section allows you to make revenue simulation for the selected week by changing input parameters:
- Occupancy rate
- Average revenue per cover
- No show rate
Using the simulation, you can check what-if scenarios, and analyze how the revenue would change depending on changes of the given parameters.
Simulation calculates following values automatically upon changing the sliders, and displays them below the label "Simulated results":
- Revenue
- Total revenue
- Comparison to average revenue for the selected day
- Tips
- Total tips
- Comparison to average tips for the selected day
- Loss due to no-show
- Estimated loss due to no-show events
- Comparison to average loss for the selected day
By clicking on the button "Set actuals" you can set parameters to the values of the selected day.
